Benny Kheunle Remembered

Going through my archives and given the time of the year I was sorting my 2008 Northern Ireland International Horse Show footage I came upon footage from the first class and I the winner of the class was a very talented young man Benny Kheunle I was privileged to see him flourish during the S.JA.I International Young Rider training at Necarne in Co.Fearmanagh. I watched him in the Main Arena of Dublin Horse Show win a training bursary from George Morris (Chief D'Equipe USA) he said "Benny has the softest hands he could have steered his horse with thread" Benny was taken from us in 2008 a 20 year old with so much to give.

Another man who gave so much to the carrage driving world sadly gone was George Fawcett who appears at the end of the video with the Belfast Lord Mayor Tom Hartley, Benny Kheunle and Lorna Doone for the Gala Opening ceremony.
